Alex Ross is a master of the DC Universe, depicting the Justice League characters with vibrant realism, emotional depth, and humanity. Ross's DC SHADOWS series is the epitome of his unique DC interpretations. In the SHADOWS paintings, he depicts classic DC heroes, striking regal and authoritative poses, held in shadow.
The 4-piece DC SHADOWS series includes Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman. Each canvas is created using the giclée process, a museum-quality technique that captures the vibrancy and detail of the original artwork.
Launched in summer 2016, the DC SHADOWS canvas line was an instant hit. With the first edition limited to 50 pieces each, individual canvases sold out by 2017.
